Blockchain & Data Protection Bill 2022: A Discussion Paper

We are pleased to share this discussion paper prepared by Crypto Legal in association with the India Blockchain Forum. Our intent is to spark a discussion to understand the implications of the recently released Digital Personal Data Protection Bill, 2022 for the blockchain industry.

Here, we have specifically examined four key issues – (1) the definition of ‘data fiduciary’ (2) data anonymization (3) the right to erasure and (4) international transfers – that are likely to pose significant compliance challenges for the blockchain industry.

Welcome your thoughts and suggestions!
